Since childhood, Joy dreamed of joining her two passions – art and books – by writing and illustrating books for children. Her dreams were fulfilled with the publication of her first three books. Click on books to read reviews or make a purchase.
As an author, Joy has written both beginning chapter books and picture books for young readers. Her whimsical illustrations are created in a variety of drawing and water based mediums. Go to Joy’s portfolio to view her artwork.
Joy has been a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators since 1993 (SCBWI and NESCBWI). She is also a member of an online consortium of children’s book authors and illustrators called YELLAPALOOZA.
Her artwork has been exhibited in public libraries and synagogues around the greater Boston area. She would love to visit your school or library to talk about writing and illustrating. See school visits  for more information.
